| Today I was out scouting an area I intend to hunt the first of next month. I was out walking the woods looking for fresh tracks and signs of Deer movement. I observed an Albino White tail Deer. A small fork. I have walked the woods for many years and have hunted Deer for some time. This is the first time I have seen or heard of a White, White tail Deer. Anyone have any interesting folk lore or stories about such a Deer? |

| No, MC - it wasn't gunned your way in particular. But I trust Gyasi Ross to have a case, if he claims to. He's a d*mn intelligent young guy, and fighter for NAs (albeit a lawyer ). |

| By the way, This was the first of now five shootings by local police in a week. One Ndn, one Black man and three white men. One man survived and is in intensive care. Another was shot five times when he pointed an AK47 at responding Officers to a Domestic. One was shot with a Taser after a call of an unwanted man in an apartment, he also died, unknown why he died from a taser shot. a third was killed after being shot in the head as he tried to run Officer over in a stolen truck and the other was a man standing at a bus stop in Tacoma with a very large knife making threats to people walking and driving down 6th avenue. He too was shot after nod following directives to drop the knife. | |

| Erik.....I assume you are waiting for me to chime in on this one. While I have to admit that at first hearing about this I was wondering why. I still don't know all the fact. But I can tell you that witnesses present said that this man was sitting on a corner of a high traffic area. He is know to have been in the area for some time. He carves walking stick and sells them at the intersection. So far all is great right? A passing patrol noticed the man holding the knife (a small three inch blade) they approached and the man stood up. The officers ordered him to drop the knife, he did not and started to walk towards the officers. They again told the man to stop and drop the knife. He did not. Witness's at the scene stated that the officers told the man to stop and drop the knife at least five times. When the man raised his hands and moved towards the officers, less than five feet away the officers shot him. Now my questions........One why did they stop in the first place, it's not illegal to have a knife with a three inch blade in Washington State. Was the man threatening anyone with the knife before the officers arrived, Not that I have heard. Most important in my mind was, could the officer have used a taser? A taser is an electrical weapon on a 15 foot wire that would drop a Brahma Bull. I personally have been shot with one as part of my training. You simply can't fight through them and you can not continue an assault. The Seattle Indian Center has demanded an explanation and is set to meet with the Mayor and newly appointed Police Chief. A lengthy post Erik but I hope worth while. |
